Report bin problems such as bin repairs, bin replacement and stolen or abandoned bins.

Bin repairs

Council repairs damaged bins for free. We don't recommend making any repairs to your bin.

Important things to know
  • Bin repair contractors are not permitted to carry out repairs on private property or private access roads. Leave your bin on the footpath until repaired or replaced.
  • If you live in a private complex (e.g townhouse development, or an estate with a private road), you'll need to place your bin outside the complex (whether gated or not) on the public footpath/kerbside until the repair is complete.
  • Your bin must be less than half full at the time of repair/replacement.

  • Bins are repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

In-home bin service repair

You can Contact Council to repair or replace your bin within your property for an in-home bin service.

Stolen bins

Before reporting a stolen bin, check your neighbours have not accidently taken or moved your bin. 

You can contact Council for a replacement bin. It will be delivered as soon as possible.

Unwanted, found or abandoned bins

You can report an unwanted or found bin for removal. Bins will be picked up by the contractor as soon as possible.
