Resource recovery centres
Brisbane City Council has four resource recovery centres at Chandler, Ferny Grove, Nudgee and Willawong with recycling and waste facilities. The centres were previously known as transfer stations or tips. Our resource recovery centres help you to recylce more, reducing waste to landfill.
Use of the recycling areas at the centres is free if your vehicle is less than 4.5 tonnes combined gross vehicle mass.
For the disposal of general waste and green waste, you can use waste vouchers or pay a fee.

For recyclable items and or Treasure Trove donations in your load, go to the free recycling area first and place your materials into the relevant container.
