Brisbane Botanic Gardens guided walks
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at one of Brisbane City Council's three premier gardens: City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha and Sherwood Arboretum.
Walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour.
Walk information and bookings
See the information below about the free guided walks at Council's premier gardens.
Bookings are not required for individuals or small groups.
Large groups (10 or more people), or groups with a special interest, can make a booking for a customised tour by phoning 07 3407 8888 or by completing the booked walk request form and submitting via email to the botanic gardens. Six weeks' notice is required to arrange a booked walk.

Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Summer months
Summer months are from Monday 2 December 2024 to Sunday 30 March 2025.
Walks leave from the Visitor Information Centre from Monday to Saturday at 10am and 12pm, and 10am on Sundays. Walks are not available on public holidays.
Winter months
Winter months are from Monday 31 March 2025 to early December 2025.
Walks leave from the Visitor Information Centre from Monday to Saturday at 11am and 1pm, and 11am on Sundays. Walks are not available on public holidays.
Note: Walks are dependent on environmental conditions and availability of volunteer guides.

City Botanic Gardens
Summer months
Summer months are from Monday 2 December 2024 to Sunday 30 March 2025.
Walks leave Monday to Saturday from the Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway) at 10am and 12pm. Walks are not available on Sundays or public holidays.
Winter months
Winter months are from Monday 31 March 2025 to early December 2025.
Walks leave Monday to Saturday from the Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway) at 11am and 1pm. Walks are not available on Sundays or public holidays.

Walks occur monthly leaving from the shelter adjacent to the main carpark off Jolimont Street.
