City Botanic Gardens facilities and services

Enjoy the facilities at the City Botanic Gardens, including a range of picnic locations and The Gardens Club in the historic curator's residence. The City Botanic Gardens are popular for weddings and other functions.

Picnic areas

The open grassed picnic area, with a sheltered pavilion, is at the rear of the City Botanic Gardens opposite QUT. Limited car parking is available.

Picnic tables and seats in shaded areas are located throughout the gardens and along the riverbank. Popular picnic locations include the Royal Palms Lawn, and areas around the playground.

The Gardens Club

The City Gardens Cafe reopened in the historic curator's residence and is called The Gardens Club. It is operated by the Wise Foundation, who distributes funds to the community and organisations in need. Currently, coffee, food and drinks are available from The Gardens Club from 7am-3pm week days and 7am-4pm weekends.
