From 9pm Friday 7 February to 5am Monday 10 February 2025, Brisbane Move will undertake road reconstruction and resurfacing works on Hope Street and Melbourne Street, South Brisbane.
To facilitate these works, the following traffic changes will be required:
- Melbourne Street will be closed to general traffic between Merivale Street and Hope Street.
- A detour will be in place via Merivale Street, Glenelg Street, Grey Street and Hope Street.
- Vehicle access to Hope Street via Melbourne Street will be closed.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times via the detour. Translink bus services will be maintained at all times.
In addition, Melbourne Street will be closed between Manning Street and Cordelia Street, South Brisbane from 12am to 5am Monday 10 February. A detour will be in place via Manning Street, Russell Street and Cordelia Street.
In the event of wet weather or unsuitable site conditions, these works will be undertaken on the next available weekend.
