A planned burn is scheduled to take place in the Remick Street Bushland Reserve at Stafford Heights on Tuesday 25 June, weather permitting.
The planned area is on the southern side of Rode Road between Rode Road and Remick Street, opposite the Raven Street Reserve Environment Centre
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
Smoke may impact Rode Road and settle in low lying areas in surrounding suburbs particularly overnight.
Management tracks in the area will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to 2 weeks after the burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
