Council services and facilities will have changed operations due to the impacts of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Brisbane Business Hub
The Brisbane Business Hub (Level 4, Queen Street, Brisbane City) reopened on Tuesday 11 March.
Cemeteries
- Toowong Cemetery is open, however the customer service office remains closed and will reopen on Wednesday 12 March.

- Council's Environment Centres will be open from Thursday 13 March. For resident’s safety, please remain vigilant while at the Centre surrounds and on all walking tracks.
- To ensure public safety, all Brisbane City Council Conservation Reserves remain closed until further notice.
Customer Service Centres
- The following Council customer service centres reopened on Tuesday 11 March at normal operating hours, pending no impacts from weather conditions overnight:

- North Regional Business Centre.
- The South Regional Business Centre will not re-open until future notice due to site damage.
Golf courses
- Victoria Park driving range (including putt putt and bistro) has reopened.
- Indooroopilly Golf Course partially reopened from Tuesday 11 March.
- Minnippi Golf Course will reopen from 12pm Friday 14 March. The driving range will remain closed until further notice.
- St Lucia, Wynnum, Ashgrove, Bulimba and Jindalee remain closed.

Parks and reserves
- All mountain bike tracks in the Gap Creek network, Mt Coot-tha Reserve, are closed until further notice.
Playgrounds
- Council will turn off or isolate all water play sites at playgrounds until further notice.
Pools
- All pools reopened from Tuesday 11 March except for Dunlop and Acacia Ridge.
- The 25m pool at Hibiscus and the 25m pool at Langlands will be closed until further notice.
Resource recovery centres
- Chandler, Nudgee, Willawong and Ferny Grove resource recovery centres are open. Find out about free green waste drop-off.
- The resource recovery centres are open from 6.30am to 5.45pm daily.
- For the weekends of 15-16 and 22-23 March, operating hours will be extended to 8.45pm.
- Council has also opened 2 temporary green waste drop-off sites at Mt Coot-tha carpark, Sir Samuel Griffith Drive and White Hills Reserve, off Boundary Road, Camp Hill, which will be available to residents 7am to 5pm daily.

Transport
- The Story Bridge footpaths will be closed until further notice.
- Brisbane City Council bus services have returned to regular timetable.
- Council CityCat, Kittycat and most bus services will remain suspended until further notice due to severe weather.
- Council Cabs resumed from Tuesday 11 March.
- Personalised Public Transport services resumed on Monday 10 March.
Waste
- Council has opened more than 190 temporary waste bin sites for residents in Brisbane in areas where regular kerbside waste collections have been impacted by severe weather.
- The temporary bins will accept any excess household waste from those impacted by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Temporary waste bins are for Brisbane residents only and for household quantities of waste.
- Regular collection of all bins, including general waste (red lids), recycling (yellow lids) and green waste recycling (green lids) will recommence from the morning of Monday 10 March.
- Residents should present their bins to the kerb as per their usual day of service, for all bin types.
- Bin repair and general maintenance services are suspended until further notice. Residents are asked not to contact Council to log new bin repair and general maintenance requests during this time.
- Council has also opened 7 temporary green waste drop-off sites, which are available to residents 7am to 5pm daily. Locations include:

Residents are encouraged to take caution around or under trees, as saturated ground conditions may cause trees to become unstable and fall, even after severe weather has cleared.
It is also important to keep clear of damaged buildings, trees, floodwaters, fallen power lines and report them to Energex on 13 19 62.
