Kedron Brook Bikeway lighting project - Everton Park

Link copied

We're installing lighting along the Kedron Brook Bikeway in Everton Park to improve safety.

Kedron Brook Bikeway is a popular northside active travel corridor. We're installing 21 new lights along the Kedron Brook Bikeway at Everton Park. This will increase visibility for path users near Everton Park State High School and Everton Park Link Road.

Works will include:

  • underground drilling and vacuum excavation to install light pole foundations, conduits and electrical pits
  • installation of 21 LED luminaires and poles
  • electrical cable works and turfing.

The project is jointly funded by Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government’s Cycle Network Local Government Grants program.

  • Late March 2025: Start of construction.
  • June 2025: Proposed end of construction.

Works will generally take place between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

During construction, there may be intermittent short-term delays for pathway users while work is underway for each new pole. Traffic control will manage stop and go traffic flow on the path where required.

There may be a partial bikeway closure at the South Pine Road underpass in early April for 2 days. Follow the direction of traffic control.

During these works, you may notice:

  • deliveries of machinery, equipment and materials to site
  • construction vehicle movements with reversing alarms and flashing lights
  • construction noise.

We value your patience and cooperation while we undertake this project.
