Council in investigating options to repair the viewing deck along the Nudgee Beach Boardwalk loop.

The 1.5 kilometre Nudgee Beach Boardwalk loop includes a viewing platform. We've closed the platform for public access owing to safety concerns. This means that walkers cannot currently complete the loop walk. Other than the viewing platform, the remainder of the boardwalk is safe and open for public use.

We're currently investigating options regarding the viewing platform and boardwalk. We expect to complete this assessment in mid 2025. We're looking at several factors including the:

  • existing site conditions, including environmental, tidal and marine impacts
  • condition of the boardwalk and viewing platform piles.
