Impacts to roads and services due to Tour de Brisbane 2025

Temporary road closures and changed traffic conditions will be in place from 4.30am to 1:00pm on Sunday 13 April at various locations across Brisbane due to the Tour de Brisbane event.

4:47pm Thursday 10 April 2025

The Story Bridge, Go Between Bridge, Hale Street, Inner City Bypass, Kingsford Smith Drive, Legacy Way, Western Freeway and Centenary Highway will be closed at various times between 4.30am and 1:00pm.

Roads within the following suburbs will be impacted in association with the event:

  • Brisbane City
  • Fortitude Valley
  • Kangaroo Point
  • South Brisbane
  • West End
  • Dutton Park
  • Milton
  • Petrie Terrace
  • Kelvin Grove
  • Windsor
  • Bowen Hills
  • Chapel Hill
  • Sinnamon Park
  • Mount Ommaney
  • Jamboree Heights
  • Mount Coot-Tha
  • Albion
  • Hamilton
  • Eagle Farm
  • Northgate
  • Pinkenba

Roads will progressively reopen throughout the event upon completion.

Traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.

Diversion routes will be in place, with all detours and diversions clearly signed on the day.

Several facilities will also have changed operating times due to the Tour de Brisbane:

  • Mt Coot-tha Library will be closed on Sunday 13 April
  • Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium will open from 12.30pm to 5pm
  • Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre will open from 12:30pm to 4pm
