If your dog, cat or livestock is missing, report it to us as soon as possible.
We keep a register of lost and found animals to help reunite owners with their pets and livestock.

When we find a lost pet or livestock, we take it to our animal rehoming centres in Willawong and Bracken Ridge.
We impound lost and surrendered animals at these centres to provide them with care and a safe environment. Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ) runs these animal rehoming centres for Council.
If your pet or livestock is at one of our animal rehoming centres, you may be able to reclaim it.
If you find a lost dog, cat or livestock that doesn’t belong to you, report it to us as soon as possible.

If we impound your lost pet or livestock, we will care for it in a safe environment at one of our animal rehoming centres.
Staff at the animal rehoming centre will try to contact you if they can identify you as the animal’s owner. They will let you know when your animal can be collected.
