Waste signs and posters
Promote recycling and help reduce waste at your school, business or in your community group with these free posters and signs.

Reducing waste and recycling at work, school or in the community helps create a clean and more sustainable Brisbane.
Signs that are well-placed and clear give people the confidence to dispose of waste responsibly.
Council offers a range of recycling and waste signs for schools and business.
Waste and recycling posters for bins
Download and print these bin signs for your general waste, recycling and green waste collection points.
General waste bins
The general waste bin is for household waste such as soft plastic, food waste and wrappers. It is suitable for anything that can’t be recycled, reused or taken to a resource recovery centre.
Green waste bins and organic recycling
The green-lid bin is an easy way to remove gardening material such as grass clippings, leaves, prunings, weeds and small branches.
Organic recycling with a worm farm or compost bin is a good way to turn your fruit and vegetable scraps into compost for your garden.
Recycling bins
The yellow-lid bin is for recyclable items only. This includes cardboard boxes and packaging, firm plastic containers and bottles, glass bottles and jars, paper, steel and aluminium.
Reusable items such as shoes or furniture can be dropped off at a resource recovery centre to be passed onto a Treasure Trove shop. Use the ‘Charity donations’ sign to separate those items from other recyclables.
