Volunteering provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, learn new skills and meet new people from diverse backgrounds. Council is always looking for volunteers for a variety of roles.

Brisbane Greeters is a program of free guided tours in the city and key precincts. Our friendly greeters are proud and passionate volunteers who are keen to share Brisbane's stories and show you some great spots. Find out how you can get involved.

Passionate about Brisbane's natural environments? Learn about the reserves around you and give back to your community by volunteering at one of Council's environment centres.

Homeless Connect brings together businesses and community groups at a one-day event.  It provides free services to people experiencing homelessness, or those at risk of homelessness.  Find out how you can get involved.

Youth Week celebrates the contribution of young people to the community. If you are between 12-25 years, find out how you can get involved.

Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for the plant collections and history of the Botanic gardens by becoming a volunteer guide.

Habitat Brisbane groups consist of volunteers dedicated to keeping Brisbane clean, green and sustainable by restoring natural habitats in parks, remnant bushland, wetlands and along waterways.

Food waste is a big part of what goes into Brisbane's bins. By volunteering at your local community composting hub, you'll learn composting skills while helping to reduce food waste to landfill and meet like-minded people.

The Creek Catchments Program works with 12 community-based catchment groups across Brisbane. Creek Catchment group volunteers are dedicated to keeping Brisbane clean, green and sustainable by restoring natural habitats in parks, remnant bushland, wetlands and along waterways.
