Lord Mayor’s Safer Suburbs Grants
The Lord Mayor’s Safer Suburbs Grants provides funding to support projects that strengthen security for Council Community Leased Facilities.
Funding
Applicants can apply for grant funding up to $10,000 (GST exclusive).
Funding round dates
Applications for this round opened on 6 August 2024 and closed on 14 October 2024.
Applicants were notified of the outcome of their application in early-December 2024.
Eligibility
Applicants must be an incorporated not-for-profit organisation that leases a facility from Brisbane City Council (Council).
Acquittal reports for successful applicants
If your application is successful you will be required to complete your project and submit an online acquittal form within 12 months of the grant approval notification.
Grant recipients with overdue acquittal reports are not eligible to apply for further grants.
If you believe your organisation may have an outstanding acquittal report from a project, phone Council on 07 3403 8888 and ask to speak with the Grants Administration Unit for advice.

2024-2025 grant recipients
The successful grant recipients of the Lord Mayor's Safer Suburbs Grants received funding to support projects that strengthen security for Council Community Leased Facilities.
A total of 69 organisations received funding to a total value of $500,285.60.
