The largest cultural festival in Queensland, and the longest running Greek festival in the country, the Paniyiri Greek Festival, returns to Musgrave Park in South Brisbane on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18, 2025 with tickets now on sale. The Paniyiri Greek Festival is a two-day multi-sensory experience where people of all ages and abilities and background are encouraged to dance the Zorba, learn mediterranean cooking, taste Greek wines, cheer on the plate smashers, shop the market stalls, enjoy a non-stop lineup of entertainment while dining on the huge variety of authentic savoury or sweet dishes from multiple food stalls representing 11 different Greek regions. The year’s festival will return with everyone’s favourites, along with some exciting new additions including the opportunity to pre-book a “Paniyiri Greek Mezze Box”. Experience all the colours and flavours of Greece with this grazing box, a new convenient festival offering showcasing an authentic home-made mezze mix, including keftethes, spanakopita, taramasalata, tzatziki, kalamata olives with Yiayia’s secret marinate, locally produced feta and, of course, pita bread. Purchases of Greek Mezze Box includes exclusive access to the exclusive seating area on Saturday between 12pm – 4pm. The seating area has priority viewing of the Main Stage, premium furniture, limited bar facilities and shade. Seating is limited and subject to availability until capacity is reached. There is also the option of a special “add on” festival picnic rug! The Greek Mezze box and picnic rug must ordered online before 12 May when purchasing your ticket. No other event gives our city a jolt of pure joy than this festival of Greek fun that opens a window on one of the world's most interesting and ancient cultures.
