Valley Malls

Brunswick Street and Chinatown Malls are vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs in Fortitude Valley. Check out the MyValley website showcasing the precinct’s dining retail and lifestyle offerings.

Council is installing new public amenities, in the tenancy between Oporto and Zambrero, in the Brunswick Street Mall from late September 2024.

The current toilets will remain open to the public during construction of the new amenities and will be removed following the opening of the new amenities in early December 2024. 

Mall customers can expect minor temporary pedestrian detours and may experience minor noise generated from the installation activities. Works are expected to be undertaken from 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday with out-of-hours works, where required, to minimise impacts.

Valley Malls offers a range of spaces. These are suitable for corporate events, product launches, festivals, concerts and exhibitions. Central to the Fortitude Valley night time entertainment precinct, there is over 500 square metres of useable space within Brunswick and Chinatown Mall.

Brunswick Street Mall and Chinatown Mall host a variety of activities and events including cultural festivals, markets, music and more.

Council supports businesses in the Valley Malls to display one A-frame sign and regulates this through permits to maintain safety and amenity.

Smoking is banned in outdoor pedestrian malls under Queensland Government legislation. View the non-smoking area map and find out about the ban.
