About our community halls

Council’s community halls offer spaces for community, commercial and private events.

Hire a hall to celebrate a wedding, hold an exhibition or put on a show. You can also host:

  • meetings
  • workshops
  • seminars
  • business functions
  • cultural and religious gatherings.

Bookings and availability 

All bookings are categorised by booking type. Check a hall’s availability based on the event you’re hosting.

Community bookings

For individuals, private groups or community organisations. Examples include wedding receptions, cultural events and free musicals.

Commercial bookings

For businesses, government bodies or events with an entry fee. Examples include seminars, networking events and classes.

Important things to know

  • Community groups charging an entry fee are charged the commercial fee.
  • Special weekend rates apply to events held on Fridays from 5pm-midnight and Saturdays from 2pm–midnight for some halls.
