About the project

Brisbane City Council is undertaking maintenance works at Banyo Library, 284 Saint Vincents Road, Banyo.

The Banyo Library has been operating from its current location since 1981.

This project will improve the quality of the facility for all users by replacing the air-conditioning system.

Start of construction

Works are expected to start from Monday 24 March and to be completed in mid-2025, weather and site conditions permitting.

Council will provide advance notification of any particularly impactful works required throughout the construction period.

What to expect during construction

During construction, the library will remain operational with exclusion zones and reduced car parking space.

Work areas will be fenced off for the safety of the public and workers. You may notice an increase in noise, dust and vibration. Please take care when visiting the library and adhere to signage and detours that may be in place.

To find out more about the library offerings and availability during this time, please contact Library Services by phoning 07 3403 2200 or sending an email.

We value your patience and cooperation while navigating operational changes as Council improves the quality of this facility.
