Council is bringing back the popular $2 Summer Dips initiative from December to February to encourage residents to enjoy Council pools for less this summer.

Langlands Park Memorial Pool, located in Stones Corner, has a 50 metre, Olympic heated, outdoor swimming pool, a 25m pool, an 18 metre enclosed, heated teaching pool and a semi-shaded wading pool. Pools are heated all year round and there is also ample shade.

Note: the main opening hours on this page are for entry to the venue and 50m pool. Opening hours for the 25m and 18m pools are specified below.

The pool will be hosting an Australia Day Pool Party event on Monday 27 January with free entry to the community between 10am and 2pm.

Upcoming pool closures

The 50m pool will be closed to the public for private functions on the following days:

  • Thursday 6th February 2025, 9am - 2.30pm
  • Tuesday 18th February 2025, 11.45am - 2.45pm
  • Thursday 20th February 2025, 8.45am - 2.45pm.

The 25m pool and Wading Pool will be open to the public during these times.

Conditions of entry

Children 10 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a supervising person 18 years of age or older.

Concession means the holder of a Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink or a Gold Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

All Council pools now honour the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free entry for anyone accompanying a person with disability who requires attendant care support.

Parking

Street parking, including one fully accessible parking spot with ramp access. Off-street parking also available at the northern end of Panitya Street behind Easts Leagues playing field.

Pool safety

Council endorses the Keep Watch public education program of the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia. 

Keep watch @ public pools

When by the pool with your kids Keep watch @ public pools recommends:

  • for zero-five year olds and non-swimmers, a parent or guardian must be in the water at all times within arms' reach of the child/non-swimmer
  • for six-10 year olds, constant active supervision is required by a parent or guardian. Be prepared to get wet and enter the water with this age group
  • for 11-14 year olds, parents or guardians must physically check on children on a regular basis.
