Children will be given a design challenge to build a tower and later a more advanced challenge to build a bridge. Children will be taken through a basic design/problem solving process using images and then allowed to build. Initially they will be provided with a basic block kit and gradually more loose parts will be provided to promote creativity. Beware this challenge will have them building towers and bridges with whatever they can find for a month after! Ideal for families with children 4 years and over.
Readers of all ages and interests are invited to join the challenge with Brisbane City Council libraries' Summer Reading program. It's free to participate! Find out more here.
