The Marchant Ward comprises the suburbs of parts of Albion, Aspley, Chermside, Chermside West, Geebung, Gordon Park, Grange, Kedron, Lutwyche, Stafford, Stafford Heights, Windsor and Wooloowin.

Councillor Danita Parry

Danita has been a northsider for the better part of a decade. She lives in Stafford Heights with her husband, two young boys and her rescue pup, where they are actively involved with local sporting teams and community groups and always strive to support local businesses.

Before becoming a Councillor, Danita worked in radio, local and state government, and the corporate sector, where she forged a career in media relations and communications. A genuine people person, Danita is determined to get things done for her community. She intends to use her professional skills and local knowledge to:

• fight for better local infrastructure to tackle traffic congestion and improve public transport connectivity
• deliver better facilities for families like parks, playgrounds and recreation spaces
• support local schools, sports and community groups
• encourage a more inclusive and accessibly community so that everyone can enjoy our great city.

Danita is Deputy Chair of the Transport Committee and a member of the Finance and City Governance Committee.
