Points of interest

This hall was constructed in 1891 for the Toombul Divisional Board municipal offices.

Sandgate Road was used by Cobb & Co. carriages between Brisbane and Sandgate.

It was built in 1888 for publican John North at a time when Nundah was fast becoming a bustling township.

Opened in 1918, the Imperial Picture Pavilion originally showed silent films before being demolished in 1965.

This monument celebrates the arrival of the first free European settlers in Queensland at Nundah.

Built in 1942, Nundah Air Raid Shelter was constructed due to the possibility of Japanese bombing raids.

Built in 1934, it provided babies and new mothers with health care.

The hall was constructed in 1952, after the previous hall was destroyed in a cyclone in 1948.

Nundah State School was established in 1865.

The Tufnell Home orphanage operated from 1901 to 1970s.

Corpus Christi Catholic Church is one of the best examples of Romanesque Revival architecture in Queensland.

Pineapples were first introduced to Queensland by German missionaries and grown in Nundah from 1838.

Established in the 1840s, Nundah Cemetery is the oldest surviving cemetery in Queensland.

Opened in 1967, Toombul shopping centre was the first shopping centre built in Queensland with air-conditioning. It was demolished following damage from the 2022 floods.
