Apply for a permit to build or modify a commercial driveway. Check what supporting information to provide.

When you need a permit

You need a commercial driveway permit to:

  • build a new driveway, including one approved as part of a development application

  • modify an existing commercial driveway.

tip1

Important things to know

  • Even if a new commercial driveway is approved as part of a development application submitted to Council or Economic Development Queensland, you need to apply for a permit to complete the work.
  • If the new commercial driveway is part of a new development that is currently being assessed by Council, you need to wait until the development is approved before applying for a permit.
