About Brookfield Cemetery
Located directly opposite the Brookfield Showground, this cemetery was held in private trust before ownership was transferred to Council in 1930.
This historic cemetery includes burials from many of the area's established families and Chinese goldminers from the late 1800s.
Brookfield Cemetery is small (just over 1.6 hectares), but reflects changes in burial practices that occurred throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

Burials in existing family graves may be available where a grave still has space, or the last burial was more than 30 years ago.
The re-use of family graves is only available to direct descendants or those related to the burial rights holder.
