This heritage-listed cemetery close to Kedron Brook was originally known as German Station Cemetery.

About Nundah Cemetery

Nundah Cemetery was founded by a group of German Lutheran missionaries who had come to Queensland as free settlers in the late 1830s.

None of the wooden crosses marking the earliest graves have survived, but the oldest headstone dates to March 1855.

It’s believed that some of the Nundah burial registers were destroyed in floods prior to the first recorded burial in 1873.

Nundah is an historic cemetery, listed on the Queensland Heritage Register

No new graves are available at this location. A granite memorial wall was built in 2016 and has sites available for ashes interments.
