About the project

The Ellen Grove Parks precinct project is providing more opportunities for sport and recreation, to relax and play, and meet with family and friends in one of the many places that make our city great.

This project is part of Council's commitment to enhance and maintain more than 2180 parks across the city, which helps residents get outdoors and enjoy our city’s unique, sub-tropical lifestyle.

Project benefits

The Ellen Grove Parks precinct project will deliver parks that respond to the needs of a growing community by providing open green space, facilities for sport and recreation and preserving biodiversity values.

Council will engage with local residents and community groups to develop a final concept plan for the 2 parks – Ellen Grove District Park and Waterford Road Park. The final concept plan will guide planning for park improvements to meet the sport and recreation needs of the growing Ellen Grove community. Council will consider the surrounding natural environmental values which will be protected and enhanced as part of the project.
