Seven Hills Hub

Seven Hills Hub, located at 28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills, is a Brisbane City Council creative precinct. 

Booking requests for events from 21 December 2024 to 6 January 2025 must be received by 4pm 20 December 2024. All bookings continue to require a minimum of 5 business days’ notice.

This Council-managed community venue includes a 162-seat theatre, outdoor amphitheatre, with an adjoining local park (Griffith Place Park).

Seven Hills Hub is ideal for hosting:

  • performing arts and music performances
  • community events and activities
  • creative enterprise activities and workshops.

Backbone Youth Arts Inc.

From Tuesday 1 February 2022, Backbone Youth Arts Inc commenced activities in the Jolly Centre Workshop, Rehearsal and Studio rooms. Backbone will manage the Jolly Centre rooms and provide the opportunity for the community to continue to hire the three spaces, while working to activate the Hub. Council looks forward to working closely with Backbone Youth Arts to ensure the Seven Hills Hub is available for use by the Brisbane community.

Ron Hurley Theatre

This theatre includes:

  • 72 square metre, flat, wooden stage
  • tiered seating for 162 people
  • back-of-house change rooms with toilets and shower facilities
  • air conditioning
  • circus rigging capabilities
  • audiovisual equipment (technical package information document available on request).

Outdoor amphitheatre

This space includes:

  • tiered amphitheatre, designed by award-winning architect, Don Watson
  • 41 square metre stage
  • adjacent to paved open-air courtyard.

Accessibility

Disability access features include:

  • an accessible toilet (wheelchair accessible)
  • two accessible car parking spaces
  • continuous accessible path of travel from car park
  • four designated wheelchair seating spaces in the Ron Hurley Theatre
  • induction hearing loop in the Ron Hurley Theatre.

Parking

There are 68 onsite car parking spaces, including two wheelchair-accessible spaces, shared with other onsite tenants.

Bookable hours

The bookable hours for both the Ron Hurley Theatre and the outdoor amphitheatre are Monday to Sunday, 8am–10.30pm.

The venue is located 18 minutes drive from Brisbane City at 28 Tallowwood Street, Seven Hills. You'll find the venue on the corner of Tallowwood Street and Griffith Place - turn into Clearview Urban Village, off Clearview Terrace.
