Special event parking

Brisbane has many sporting and special event facilities which play host to a range of sporting and entertainment events. These events can bring additional traffic to local areas making it difficult for residents to access on street parking. Around some of our major sporting and entertainment venues, Traffic Areas, Parking Control Areas and Regulated Parking Permit Areas are in place to assist local residents in accessing parking on event days.

Council has implemented parking permit areas around sporting and special event facilities including QSAC, Ballymore Stadium, Queensland Tennis Centre and Downey Park sport precinct, to assist local residents with accessing on-street parking in their area.
