Parking around the Princess Alexandra Hospital

The Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital is situated among the residential areas of Dutton Park, Woolloongabba, Annerley, Highgate Hill and Fairfield. It is also close to the Green Bridge and access to the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.

As the hospital is set in a residential area, the Dutton Park Parking Control Area is in place to maintain access to short-term parking for visitors, and on-street parking for residents and their visitors. If you live within the Dutton Park Parking Control Area, you can apply for a resident parking permit

The Dutton Park Parking Control Area is active between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and includes:

  • a two-hour parking limit to all unsigned roads within the area
  • a four-hour parking limit on all disability parking bays.

If you park for longer than signed, or for longer than two hours in an unsigned area, you can be fined. To help motorists easily identify if they’ve parked within the Dutton Park Parking Control Area, high visibility parking control area information signs have been installed underneath street signs.

To assist with the pick-up and set-down of passengers and goods in this area, on-street loading bays and 30 minute parking are provided in business precincts. There is also free 15 minute parking at all on-street metered parking spaces within the Dutton Park Parking Control Area. The PA Hospital also offers longer term onsite parking for patients and visitors.
