School transport

By rethinking travel behaviours with our children and undertaking active school travel options such as walking, riding bike or scooter, car pooling and using public transport we can all play a part in reducing traffic around schools.

On 28 January 2025, we'll start rolling out Brisbane Metro on the M2 route (also known as Route 66) - UQ Lakes to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

We will work with Translink to keep you informed and ensure parents, students and staff can get ready for the new year.

Learn about what we've done so far and our staged implementation plan on the Metro services page.
