Smart, Connected Brisbane

We are a Smart, Connected Brisbane. Our goal is to work with residents, businesses, universities and start-ups to explore how innovation, technology and data can help accelerate Brisbane’s progress towards achieving our broader city goals of liveability, sustainability and prosperity. This means we aren’t driven by the latest technology, but rather by what will deliver a better Brisbane for residents, visitors, workers and businesses.

Together, we’ve been delivering smart, connected projects for many years. But we know there’s more to be done and we will continue to explore how technology and innovation can help us deliver better services for our communities.

Smart, Connected Brisbane initiatives

We've showcased a few initiatives to demonstrate our Smart, Connected Brisbane journey so far.

BBQ in Park

Smart ways to enjoy a BBQ

Council is creating opportunities to connect with family and friends in the places that make our city great, and one way we’re doing this is by providing free BBQ facilities in parks across the city.

Road safety

Council is using technology to get you home safer with innovative road safety initiatives like SLOW for SAM.

A better Brisbane

If you have a service or product to make Brisbane better or solve a Council problem, we want to hear from you.
