Council and the Queensland Police Service (QPS) enforce motorbike offences in parks and natural spaces.

Penalties apply to noisy, dangerous or illegal riding, including fines and bike confiscation.

Council:

  • patrols parks and natural areas with QPS
  • issues on-the-spot fines to offenders.

QPS:

  • apprehends, arrests and penalises people riding illegally
  • confiscates and impounds vehicles that create unnecessary noise or smoke
  • regulates unlicensed drivers, driver behaviour and unregistered and unroadworthy motorbikes.

Careless and unlawful riding can create dust, erosion, noise, bushfire and safety issues.

You can report riding in parks and natural areas by phone or online.
