Roma Street precinct renewal strategy
Brisbane Metro and Cross River Rail will deliver a faster commute and attract investment and development to the Roma Street precinct. Brisbane City Council has worked with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority to guide this investment via precinct renewal strategies to ensure new development brings more restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and entertainment as well as new parks, inspiring art and a safer and more relaxed walking and cycling experience.
Roma Street precinct is already in transformation and is set to become a grand arrival experience to Brisbane, with easy transport options for visitors and commuters. The renewal strategy capitalises on these attributes and provides strategies and actions to transform the precinct into a vibrant CBD destination with revitalised heritage, vibrant parks and plazas and a New World City feel.
