WasteSMART Brisbane Awards

Brisbane City Council’s WasteSMART Brisbane Awards recognise the achievements of individuals, community groups, schools, kindergartens and businesses who work together for a clean and sustainable city.

Each year, Council partners with Brisbane Sustainability Agency to deliver the annual awards, culminating an awards ceremony and celebration at City Hall in November.

2024 WasteSMART Brisbane Awards

This year there are eleven award categories, 12 awards and a prize pool worth over $4,000.

With two new categories introduced, including the Circular Threads Award and the Hospitality & Tourism Award, there are even more ways to be recognised for your vital work to reduce waste in 2024.

All the finalists will be judged by an expert panel, excluding the People's Choice WasteSMART Award which will be voted on by the public.
