Planning and building online tools

Brisbane City Council provides mapping and online tools to assist you with your planning or building project. The tools include City Plan online, Development.i, FloodWise Property ReportLocal Heritage Places online and Protected Vegetation. These systems help you obtain information to make planning and building decisions and submit a complete development assessment application.

Development.i

Development.i is Council's development search and tracking tool that lets you save searches, set favourites on development applications, or create email notifications to track application progress.

FloodWise Property Report

Council's FloodWise Property Report shows the risk and type of flooding at a property to help you plan and build new habitable flood levels in accordance with Council's requirements.

Online applications

City Plan online

City Plan online contains the text and mapping for Brisbane City Plan 2014. You can view what zoning, overlays, neighbourhood plans, infrastructure and other planning legislation may affect your property or development.

Local Heritage Places online

Local Heritage Places online allows you to find information such as historical facts and features, architectural period and style, and photographs.

Protected Vegetation

Navigate a map of Brisbane that shows vegetation protected by the Natural Assets Local Law 2003.

Flood Information Online

Brisbane is a subtropical city built on a floodplain. Brisbane City Council is providing the latest available flood maps, tools and information to ensure residents and visitors are safe, confident and ready.
