Disc golf

What is disc golf?

Disc golf is played similarly to traditional golf, but with plastic discs and target baskets. The aim is to reach the targets in as few throws as possible.

It’s a cheap, fun and low-impact sport anyone can play, regardless of age or ability.

Work on your throw, get some outdoor exercise and spend time amongst nature with a game of disc golf.

Disc golf courses

Council has 2 disc golf courses in parks across Brisbane:

  • an 18-basket course in Cadogan Street Park, Carindale
  • a 12-basket course in Freney Street Park (located in Kookaburra Park), Rocklea.
