Covering 90 hectares, Minnippi Parklands is made up of multiple parks, including:

  • Porter’s Paddock Park
  • Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park
  • Preston Road Park 
  • Wood Avenue Park.

The parklands are ideal for picnics, birdwatching, walking, riding and spending time in nature. 

It features lush green spaces, an aviation-themed playground, picnic shelters and other park facilities. It's also a water lover’s delight, with scenic lagoons and access to Bulimba Creek.

Travel options

  • Access Porter’s Paddock Park from Stanton Road West. Free parking is available in the onsite car park.
  • Access Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park and Preston Road Park from Meadowlands Road. There’s free parking onsite.
  • Access Wood Avenue Park from Wood Avenue. You’ll find free street parking on Wood Avenue, Billan Street and Fursden Road.

Things to see and do

Spend an hour or a whole day in nature at Minnippi Parklands.

  • Birdwatch or go for a paddle at the reed-lined lagoon in Porter’s Paddock Park.

  • Get active at the outdoor gym, sporting fields or skate track. You can also walk or run on the scenic Bulimba Creek Loop, starting at the Meadowlands Road car park. 

  • Ride the 1.6 km loop through the parklands. You can take your ride further by hopping onto the Bulimba Creek Bikeway.

  • Picnic at the Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park or Wood Avenue Park. Enjoy your picnic on the lawn or use the picnic facilities. 

Kids can play at:

  • Porter’s Paddock Park in the aviation-themed playground

  • Preston Road Park in the accessible and inclusive playground with multi-use spinner and harnessed swing seat.

Minnippi Parklands is also home to the Tingalpa Model Aero Club and Queensland Miniature Race Car Club.

Minnippi Golf Course

Just a 20-minute drive from Brisbane’s CBD, Minnippi Golf Course is the only public golf course south of the Brisbane River.

It features an 18-hole green, a 20-bay driving range, golf coaching and the onsite Cooee Cafe and Restaurant.

Visit the premier course for a round of golf, or a private or group lesson.

Minnippi Golf Course is located at 1825 Creek Road, Cannon Hill.

Take Minnippi Boulevard, off Creek Road, to reach the golf course.

Free parking is available at the onsite car park, accessible via Minnippi Boulevard.

Minnippi Golf Course is open 6am–6.30pm daily. 

Facilities within the course, such as the driving range, have different opening hours.

No membership fees apply to use Minnippi Golf Course. Anyone can play, subject to booking fees. You can also hire golf clubs, buggies and motorised carts from the golf shop.

You can book to play 3, 6, 9 or 18 holes.

The driving range operates on a walk-in basis. No booking required.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, you can take your dog to Minnippi Parklands. Your dog must be kept on a leash and you should dispose of any waste responsibly.

To let your dog run free, visit the dog park at Preston Road Park.

You can ride your bike on the bikeways and shared pathways in Minnippi Parklands. This includes a 1.6-kilometre bike route around the lagoons. The smooth, flat pathway is great for beginner riders. 

You can also ride on the Bulimba Creek Bikeway that runs from Murarrie to Wishart and goes through the parklands.
