Minnippi Parklands

Minnippi Parklands is made up of several different parks in Tingalpa, Cannon Hill, Carina and Carindale, including Porter's Paddock Park, Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park, Preston Road Park, Wood Avenue Park and Fursden Road Park.

Brisbane City Council is working with BMD Properties Pty Ltd (BMD) to deliver a public golf course and residential precinct in Cannon Hill as part of Minnippi Parklands.

Porter's Paddock Park

Porter's Paddock Park is located at 157 Stanton Road, Tingalpa.

Park facilities include: 

  • amphitheatre
  • barbecue
  • bikeway/walkway
  • boat ramp/pontoon
  • lagoon
  • picnic areas (Entrance Road, North Ridge, Lakeside)
  • playground
  • toilets
  • water (bubblers/taps/dog bowl).

The park also includes community facilities for the Queensland Miniature Racing Car Club and Tingalpa Model Aero Club.

Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park

Meadowlands Picnic Ground Park is located at 184 Stanton Road, Tingalpa. 

Park facilities include: 

  • barbecue
  • boat ramp
  • picnic area
  • playground
  • skate park
  • accessible toilets
  • water (bubblers/taps)
  • wheelchair access
  • shared pathway.

Preston Road Park

Preston Road Park is located at 25 Preston Road, Carina.

Park facilities include:

  • electric barbecue
  • basketball half court
  • canoe ramp
  • picnic facilities near Bulimba Creek
  • car parks near Preston Road used for the softball facilities, Kate Street and Meadowlands Road
  • designated drone launching area
  • dog off-leash area near Meadowlands Road including dog off-leash area for small dogs
  • outdoor fitness/exercise station near Meadowlands Road
  • picnic area/shelter near Meadowlands Road
  • wood and electric barbecues near Meadowlands Road and Cadogan Street
  • accessible and inclusive play playground near Meadowlands Road 
  • shared pathway near Bulimba Creek
  • skate facility near Meadowlands Road
  • sporting fields
  • toilet
  • water (bubblers/drinking fountain/taps/dog bowl - including wheelchair accessible drinking fountain between the canoe ramp and Meadowlands Road car park).

The park also includes community facilities (a field) used by the South Brisbane Softball Association.

Wood Avenue Park

Wood Avenue Park is located at 191 Wood Avenue, Cannon Hill.

Park facilities include:

  • playground
  • picnic area/shelter near Billian and Moorabin Streets
  • shared pathway.

Fursden Road Park

Fursden Road Park is located at 132 Fursden Road, Cannon Hill. This is a natural area park.
