Community feedback

Council would like to thank everyone who provided suggestions and feedback during the community engagement period between 27 January and 19 February 2023. The community feedback was considered and helped to create the concept plan.

Feedback received indicated strong support for a playground design that combines elements of fantasy and imagination and more challenging climbing experiences with classic play items such as swings and slides. Local residents also commented positively on the proposed pathway connection between Macaranga Crescent and Waterlily Circuit and expressed a desire for exercise equipment in the park. This feedback was considered during design development.

Project timing

Council is now planning for the future delivery of the concept plan features subject to design analysis, approvals and budget allocation.

Works proposed for 2024-25 include:

  • new nature-based playground facilities to replace the existing playground;
  • new and upgraded picnic facilities; and
  • landscaping and native garden beds.

Council are likely to commence works in March 2025 and will provide further updates to the community closer to the start of works.
