Changed traffic conditions and public transport for NRL Magic Round

Temporary road closures and changed parking conditions will be in place on Caxton Street, Petrie Terrace between Friday 17 May - Monday 20 May for the NRL Magic Round.

The following roads will be closed from 12pm, Friday 17 May to 3am, Monday 20 May (authorised vehicles allowed and local business access will be maintained):

  • Full closure of Caxton Street, Petrie Terrace between Petrie Terrace and Hale Street
  • Single lane closure on Caxton Street, Petrie Terrace between Alexandra Street and Dowse Street

Police, traffic controllers and traffic signage will be on site to assist motorists and pedestrians through the area, with all diversion routes clearly signed on the day.

Council is operating free event shuttle services to Suncorp Stadium for game ticket holders from the following locations:

  • Brisbane CBD – Ann Street Stop 7 (Anzac Square) & Stop 12 (City Hall)
  • Carindale
  • Chermside
  • Eight Mile Plains/Mt Gravatt
  • The Gap

The last dedicated event shuttle service will depart the stadium approximately one hour after the final game on each day. Customers should visit the Translink website to check service frequencies for the games they will attend. 

Free public transport is also available to game ticket holders and Suncorp membership card holders on any regular Council bus services for 4 hours before the first game and 4 hours after the final game on each day.
