Brisbane City Council's Free Native Plants program offers residential ratepayers and tenants two free native plants each financial year.
Discover a variety of native species, including groundcovers, tufting plants, climbers, small and medium shrubs and feature trees. These plants not only enhance your property's beauty, but also provide food and shelter for wildlife and contribute to a greener and more sustainable Brisbane.
To collect your native plants, bring a copy of your rates notice from the current financial year - a photo or electronic copy works too - and visit Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre. Find out more about Council's Free Native Plants program.
Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm and the free native plants are available throughout these opening hours. The reserve also has walking tracks and an interactive centre, so why not plan an outing!
