WORKSHOP: Have you ever been talking to a friend about your life and been told, &ldquo;Wow! You should write about that!&rdquo; Yes? Well, this workshop is for you! This Tell It! Workshop led by award-winning playwright Steve Pirie will equip you with the tools and skills you need to confidently turn your life into art. Whether you want to keep it as real as possible or perhaps you want to create a fictional world for your alter ego to live in &ndash; no matter how you want to tell your story, we want to support you to start telling it! This workshop is suitable for artists working in theatre, dance, music, performance art, and more. It will be Auslan Interpreted. If you require captioning or have other access requirements not listed below, please indicate these in your registration form. This workshop is delivered accessibly and open to all to participate. Topics include: - Adapting your personal story for the stage. - What&rsquo;s the difference between &lsquo;inspired by&rsquo; and &lsquo;based on&rsquo; your life? - Emotional safety when creating personal work. - Creating fiction from fact to create a new story. Tell It! Includes a short, special guest performance by the Access Arts Theatre and Dance Ensemble, with an example of what &lsquo;Telling It&rsquo; can look like in practice. You can chat to the ensemble from 12.30 &ndash; 1pm after the workshop and enjoy light refreshments provided by Undercover Artist.
