Suitable for all ages
$10 - $44
The Northey Street City Farm Winter Solstice Festival is back for 2024!
Join us for our annual Winter Solstice Festival, a celebration steeped in multicultural tradition as a time for renewal, reflection and reverence for the Earth’s natural cycles.
Step into a world of connection and contemplation on the longest night of the year. Immerse yourself in permaculture talks, gardening workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions, art and activities for the whole family. When the sun goes down, join us for live music, a crackling bonfire, solstice ceremony and our annual lantern parade.
Our pop-up markets will offer an array of culinary delights and dining experiences, a true reflection of the diverse flavours of our community. Bring a picnic blanket, your favourite people, and join us under the stars as we celebrate community, nature, and the days getting longer.
This is a zero-waste event. We encourage you to bring your own reusable mugs, cutlery and bowls, but some will be available on the night if you forget.
This event is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council. For more information and volunteering opportunities, visit Winter Solstice Festival.
