Higher than predicted high tides may be experienced in low-lying foreshore areas and riverside locations from Sunday 15 December to Tuesday 17 December 2024.
The Queensland Tide tables provided by the Bureau of Meteorology can be found here: http://www.bom.gov.au/oceanography/projects/ntc/qld_tide_tables.shtml
Please note that a tidal anomaly may cause these tide peaks to be higher than predicted.
These high tides are expected to be similar to the high tides experienced in September 2024.
Minor localised flooding may be experienced in bayside, riverside, and low-lying parts of nearby suburbs. Areas connected to foreshore, and tide-affected areas of the river, creeks and other waterways may also be affected.
Residents in areas prone to localised flooding due to high tides are advised to avoid parking their cars on the street during these times.
Please note that residents in tidal flood areas who are signed up for Brisbane Severe Weather Alerts can expect to also receive creek flood alerts during higher than predicted high tides.
