Planned Burn Boondall

A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Boondall Wetlands, between the Gateway Motorway and Paperbark Drive on Tuesday 18 June, weather permitting.

The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.

Smoke may impact the Gateway Motorway and settle in low lying areas in surrounding suburbs overnight.

Management tracks in the area will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to 2 weeks after the burn.

Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration to ensure the safety of the area.

Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
