Planned Burn Chermside Hills Reserve

A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Chermside Hills Reserve between Hamilton Road, Giwadha Track and Stringybark Track on Friday 19 July, weather permitting.  

The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.

Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight. 

The Giwadha Track will be closed for the duration of the burn and may be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.

Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration to ensure the safety of the area.  

Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
