A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Mount Coot-tha Reserve in Mount Coot-tha from Thursday 13 June to Saturday 15 June 2024, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am Thursday, however the block will continue to smoke in the days following the burn. Staff will be on site Friday and over the weekend to ensure the area is safe.
Smoke may impact surrounding suburbs including Chapel Hill, Mount Coot-tha, Bardon, The Gap, Toowong, Auchenflower and Red Hill, and may settle in surrounding low lying areas overnight.
Management tracks in the area will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to 2 weeks after the burn.

The Kokoda Trail
Scorpion Trail
Kamala Trail
Cubberla Creek Trail
Wallaby Trail
Bellbird Trail.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
