The program is open to all Brisbane residents - all ages, fitness levels and abilities are welcome. Let our qualified providers inspire you to achieve your goals. Bring a friend or make new ones. Queensland Government Companion Card

We honour the Queensland Government Companion Card for Active and Healthy program events and activities for kids and seniors with a fee. This allows free participation for anyone accompanying a participant with disability who requires attendant care support.

Expressions of interest

Council is currently seeking expressions of interest by email from experienced and inclusive providers in the areas of:

  • dance for teens, seniors and all ages
  • physical games for teens
  • Traditional Indigenous Games
  • abseiling
  • rock climbing
  • stand-up paddle boarding
  • kayaking
  • aqua aerobics
  • nutritious cooking classes
  • group fitness
  • boxing
  • Pilates
  • roller skating
  • ice skating
  • skateboarding
  • scooter
  • group sports and activities that can be offered on weekends

Please note that Council prioritises physical activities in the Active and Healthy program.
