Brisbane City Council is creating more to see and do by building a new riding track in Kookaburra Park West, Karana Downs.

About the project
The works to provide additional features at Kookaburra Park West, Karana Downs are now complete and ready for use.
The project delivered the following new features to the park:
- construction of a new 200 metre-long concrete track in a more flood resilient area of the park
- construction of a new riding ramp and elevated deck
- additional sections of footpath.
The concrete riding track is suitable for all ages and abilities and accommodates a range of uses, including scooters, skateboards rollerblades and other non-motorised devices.
The location of the track was selected in consideration of future flood resilience, existing park features, nearby trees and shade.
