Brisbane Metro
Brisbane City Council is delivering the turn-up-and-go Brisbane Metro.
Brisbane Metro is a high-capacity, high-frequency public transport system that will link the city to the suburbs, making it easier to connect with the people and places you love. Metros will operate along dedicated busways, connecting 18 stations from Eight Mile Plains to Roma Street, and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital to University of Queensland.
Metro services will integrate seamlessly into busway operations as part of a now-finalised Brisbane's New Bus Network, which includes changes to the inner city and south-eastern corridor.
This city-shaping project is fully funded in partnership with the Australian Government and will provide more travel options to help keep Brisbane moving.
Council is working closely with Translink to prepare for the start of Brisbane Metro services (M1 and M2).
